Walmart recently launched the Walmart Savings Catcher program and it just might be one of the best money saving programs I’ve ever seen! I have always price matched competitor ads at Walmart and of course, used my coupons too but, it took time. Now, it’s quick and easy! No excuses!

The Walmart Savings Catcher program takes the pain out of price matching. Simply download the Walmart app on your phone (you can also do this online if you prefer), shop like usual (with or without coupons) then, scan your receipt. Walmart Savings Catcher will compare the prices for you! This process takes three days however, if they find a lower price, you get the difference back in the form of a Walmart e-card that can be used the next time you’re in the store! Trust me, it works and it’s amazing!

Last weekend, we were going on a road trip so I hit Walmart to for all the essentials. I like to make my own fruit cups and various snacks for road trips so we don’t spend a fortune at gas stations.

Since I’m gluten free, I also load up on gluten free snacks. I have a bit of a fear of ending up in a small town somewhere and not being able to find a lot of gluten free food to eat. I guess I’m just weird like that. Nonetheless, I found these great snacks at Walmart too:

After shopping at Walmart, I checked out with my coupons and then, while in the car, I quickly scanned my receipt through the Savings Catcher app and went on my way. Yep, it’s THAT easy!

Walmart makes it easy to scan, simply type in the date and click submit. Done! It took 72 hours for Walmart to compare competitor prices but then, I got a great surprise in my inbox:

I was shocked! Truth be told, I saved more doing this than if I had brought in the ads and price matched myself. Keep in mind, I still used coupons too! Easy savings. No more dragging 10 ads to the store and no more time wasted trying to compare all the prices. If you’re a Walmart shopper, this is your savings tool!

At the end of the day, I was able to save serious cash at Walmart while stocking up on essential snacks for our road trip and I could not be happier!
