Eating healthy is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Several years ago I made a lifestyle change and decided to develop healthy habits which included drinking more water, eating healthy meals, changing out snack foods and exercising a minimum of three times per week.
No judgement on the plank there, I’m still a work in progress. The point is, I do it.
Boxing is also something I enjoy, that is key to success with all those New Year’s resolutions…enjoyment. It took years for me to realize I needed to find something I actually enjoy if I intended on sticking with it. Truth be told, I love it.
Aside from exercising, developing a healthy diet can be difficult for many people as they struggle to find recipes they enjoy. I have learned to like many new foods and try things I have never tried before. Peppers are my favorites, so versatile and can be added to nearly anything. One of my favorite things is to simply cut them up, add in a few cucumbers and a nice vinaigrette for a great salad.
