Frugal Living: Spruce Up Your Old Shoes

Want to spruce up an old pair of shoes? Well, grab your glue gun-you're in luck! If you don't have an old pair of shoes in your home, you can pick up a pair of cheap shoes to experiment with too. I picked up the silver shoes in this post at Walmart for only $5.

What You'll Need:

Fabric Pre-Made Flowers (I found these at Hobby Lobby for around $3)

Stick-on Rhinestones (Also found at Hobby Lobby)

OR any type of bling you'd like

Directions:

Keep it simple and glue flowers on your shoes with your glue gun but don't overdo it. I added about 6 rhinestones per shoe, they're self adhesive and stick very well. I had a bit of an issue with one of the flowers staying on so I used Gorilla glue to fix that.

In about 2 minutes, I had a brand new pair of shoes!

Really, this whole project is up to your own discretion. The point is to show that you can take a pair of old shoes and make them new again without spending a fortune or you can pick up some plain shoes and add a little bling on the cheap. Makes a great weekend project!
