Frugal Living: 5 Easy Homemade Cleaners

Want to throw out all those toxic cleaners? Me too! While I still do purchase some cleaners at the store, the majority of the cleaners I use are actually homemade. It only takes a few ingredients to make great homemade cleaners that will work just as great as the store bough version. I've played around with quite a few recipes and the ones below are the recipes I use the most:

{5 Easy Homemade Cleaners}

1. Homemade Laundry Detergent: Seriously, this one is easy and you can make several batches out of the ingredients too.

2. Homemade Fabric Softener:  This one is easy as well, you can add essential oil to jazz up the smell or if you have skin sensitivities you can omit the oil and leave it unscented.

3. All Purpose Cleaner:  This link will show you how easy it is to make all purpose cleaner and even a disinfectant as well.

4. Homemade Window Cleaner: This one is very easy to make. It's great to keep these ingredients on hand too so you never run out and they're inexpensive enough to do so.

5. Homemade Scouring Powder:  A friend sent this recipe to us and it takes only three ingredients. You can use it in place of Ajax or other products along those lines. Just mix together 1 cup Borax, 1 cup Baking Soda and 1/2 cup of Salt. It's that easy!

*UPDATE* I totally forgot the Homemade Baby Wipes recipe, be sure to check that out too!

Honestly, these cleaners are made straight from items in your own pantry. Even if I find a great deal on a store bought item like laundry detergent, I still keep the products on hand so if I run out of detergent halfway through the laundry process, I can whip up a new batch quick!
